Cyanotype on glass workshop

Cyanotype on glass created during a workshop at Five Historic Photography Studio in Sintra.

€ 45 pp

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process in shades of blue, which is based on the sensitivity of iron salts to light. This process was developed by scientist Sir John Herschel in 1842. It became very well known at the time, mainly due to the work developed by botanist Anna Atkins (1799-1871), considered the first woman to publish a photography book. We propose that participants in this workshop create blue images on glass with digital negatives or with the silhouettes and shadows of dried plants.
